Deyar AND MENA Nasiri

In Deyar's youth, she traveled to many different countries with her family, and the last destination of her travels was the United States, where she settled and started a family. She works in education and is passionate about social justice work and helping others. Deyar is a proud Iraqi, and her travels around the world had her longing for her home country, so she would always tell stories about Iraq. She decided to create this project to highlight the great achievements of Iraqi people.

Mena, Deyar's daughter, was born in the United States and is a proud Iraqi-American, and is greatly in touch with her Iraqi background.  As a child, she would always hear stories from her mother about Iraq and Iraqi people with amazing accomplishments, and has been inspired by their work. She wanted to create this project to help others feel inspired by these Iraqi's stories as well.
